The Holiday is, without a doubt, one of the best movies I have seen in years. There is never a dull moment as the film flashes back and forth between the lives of the two women, Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and Iris (Kate Winslet). If you have missed out on this movie then you can [google_bot_show][/google_bot_show]watch free movies and TV shows online like The Holiday here.

Amanda is in the process of breaking up with her boyfriend in one of the most hilarious breakup scenes ever, while Iris is sadly in unrequited love with an ex-boyfriend she happens to work with. Both women want to escape from their lives for a while and end up trading houses for the holiday.

Enter the gorgeous and extremely hot and sexy Graham (Jude Law), as the brother of Iris, coming to crash at sis’s place after having a few drinks at the nearby bar. Graham is surprised to find, instead of his sister, the lovely Amanda, who is very attracted to him!

Iris has a brief encounter with Miles (Jack Black), a film composer and friend of Amanda’s ex-boyfriend, He is charming but accompanied by his girlfriend, however, and quickly blows back out of her life; for now. Meanwhile, Iris befriends legendary screenwriter, Arthur (Eli Wallach) and spends her time listening to him talk about his life when Hollywood was at its peak. Miles breezes back into the picture once again, befriending both Iris and Arthur.

Arthur adds an interesting element to the film with his life stories and his lack of interest in being honored for his achievements in the film industry. Iris convinces him to allow the ceremony, promising to help him regain his strength so he can walk on stage without the use of a walker. Miles writes Arthur his own theme music to walk on stage to and writes a special theme for Iris as well, revealing a bit more than friendship toward her.

Back at Iris’s place in England, Amanda is not sure what to do about her growing affection for Graham when she knows she will be leaving to return to L.A. Things are complicated by some phone calls he gets and Amanda soon learns there is more to Graham than he is revealing.

Iris and Miles seem to be growing ever closer when Miles suddenly finds out his girlfriend is cheating on him with Amanda’s ex-boyfriend, which prompts Iris to tell Miles the reason she is hiding out from her real life. This draws them even closer still, temporarily, until each of them is forced to face their own personal demons.

Without giving away the ending, I will categorically say that when this movie comes out for sale on DVD, I will own it and I will watch it, again, and again, and again!
